April Prince

April Prince is originally from Center, Texas. She graduated from Center High School and later went on to receive her Bachelors of Business Administration, cum laude, in 2004 from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Mrs. Prince later received her Juris Doctorate degree in 2007 from Texas Tech University School of Law.


Mrs. Prince was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2007. She began her practice with a small civil litigation firm in Tyler, Texas, but later moved home to Center, Texas where she practiced with a local firm until May, 2020.


Mrs. Prince opened the Law Office of April Prince, PLLC in June, 2020.


Mrs. Prince practices in a variety of areas of civil law, but focuses most of her practice in the areas of elder law, estate planning, probate and guardianships. 


Mrs. Prince is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Shelby County Bar Association and Southwest Association of Bank Counsel. Mrs. Prince is admitted to practice in Texas and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas.


Away from the office, Mrs. Prince and her husband, Derrick, along with their daughter, enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including fishing and swimming.   They also own and manage a residential property leasing company together.  The Prince family resides in Shelbyville, Texas.
